confused.gif I don't get it! What is the purpose of the contest ?
I have read the page but do not understand the goal. I suppose I would if a read the web site from the beginning, but is anyone able to briefly describe the goal of the contest?

Ryan (aka Lostboy), ya coulda warned us the posted link was to a site dedicated to hacking, my job doesn't take too kindly to employees visiting black/grey art sites using company resources (sites frequently have nasty code embedded, I know that one doesn't but my uber bosses don't want us to even tred there).

Sorry Paul, that wasn't intentional. For what it's worth, BlackHat is a professional conference, attended by some of the leaders in the industry. I was trying to not post that link with a bunch of pomp-and-circumstance, just for those who might be interested (hence the Sandbox posting).

Like I said in the PM its not a huge issue, its a dual purpose guideline, we are are not permitted to use thier resources for nefarious purposes, and it reduces the likelyhood of nasty things crossing the network. Since I immeadiately left the site upon understanding it's nature, Im not really in trouble.

The contest is supposed to be vague. It is a mystery/puzzle type of contest. Hints will be given up until the day of, then the goal will be spelled out.

It is a mini-contest of an embedded device contest that is for builds that take place prior to the conference. I won that contest in the past using Parallax products in my build.

Maybe it's one of those pre-employment type tests for an employment "agency," perhaps located in "Virginia."

    Just kidding...

OK, Spell it out for us Ryan.

This is a contest that anyone with the basics can enter. You assemble a team with I assume local people? Where I get lost is what, when and where are we building and with what. I guess maybe an overview of the last contest would help alot.yeah.gif

I might be very interested providing I understand what I am getting into.
