I have read the page but do not understand the goal. I suppose I would if a read the web site from the beginning, but is anyone able to briefly describe the goal of the contest?

It is a mini-contest of an embedded device contest that is for builds that take place prior to the conference. I won that contest in the past using Parallax products in my build.

Just kidding...
This is a contest that anyone with the basics can enter. You assemble a team with I assume local people? Where I get lost is what, when and where are we building and with what. I guess maybe an overview of the last contest would help alot.
I might be very interested providing I understand what I am getting into.
