Parallax Servo controller

Question: does the servo controller limit a servo to only 180 Degrees?

If my microprosser tells the servo controller to cause·a sail wench servo to rotate 180 degrees in one direction and then back 359 degrees, does the servo controller only allow the servo to move 90 degrees one direction and then back 180 degrees?· Is it 90 degrees each side of center or 180 degrees degrees each side of center, or is it none of the above?

the 180 degrees only applies to the parallax standard servos and similar, how a specific servo interprets the pulses sent by the controller may or may not be different

btw the servo controller sends pulses in the 500usec to 2500 usec range every 20ms
