Anyone use Electronics Workbench? I have the demo version and I am having a little problem with a 74LS247 and a CA display and I can not get anything on it. Maybe I have something wrong I have spent around 6 Hrs and I can not find out why there is no display output. I was hoping the electronics gods would come down slap me in the head and say·"You forgot a wire dummy!"

Here is the basic file.

Don't get me started on EWB. I am demo'ing it for my school. After three days, you need to call to get another bizarre number to keep it unlocked for the remainder of the eval period. A good time to ping the sales reps that you're actually looking at it. Then, I made the mistake of changing the date, the machine it was on inexplicably was a month advanced. Next time I tried to open it to continue with the demo circuits, it blasted me with a fatal error that someone had changed the date. Meaning, I'm trying to sleaze the eval period, I suppose. I wonder if changing automagically to standard or daylight time will trigger the same response. Plus, the MultiMCU never got working for some reason. Not a pleasant evaluation. To add insult to injury, I have submitted a PO to buy the thing. It will be withdrawn. Must be another solution for a strapped community college......I told you not to get me started.

Also, did you know that you can't open multisim files made on a demo version into a retail version.

Talk about greedy! Why on EARTH would a company care that a person who PAID for the product opened a file made from a demo version.

I can understand if someone who had a demo version, was trying to use a file from a retail version.

Sorry, but gibbman is right, the people making the rules at EWB are on crak.

Just got back to my office and I found that our I.S. dept just loaded multisim 9.0 on my PC so I can look at your file.

I get an error when i do a electrical rules check, ERC. It is an error in U2 as follows : 'connecting bidirectional to power'; [U2 pin COMM, TEMP] to [Vcc pin Vcc, TEMP] Looks like your 7 segement display is shorted Vcc to ground. I just loaded version 9 of multi simm and don't have time to fix the ckt now as I have a new learning curve going from EWB 5.0 to multisimm 9.
