Any problems with BS2 SERIN on regular TTL Logic?

I am working on a project that will eventually be reading TTL Logic 9600 Baud Signals.

Are there any issues with TTL and SERIN/SEROUT, or should it work fine?

Thanks.

No, in fact the BASIC Stamp I/O pins work at TTL levels (0v for low, 5v for high) -- you only have to ad an interface if you're using RS-232 level signals.

Some people like to add a 220Ω resistor in series on the lines to play it safe, but it isn't absolutely nessesary (unless you are prone to making mistakes), the resistor protects the pin from burning out if you accidently short it.
