I've tried everything, but I cannot find out who makes the LED display I'm making a driver for.
I got some displays from ebay, but I need to find the manufacture.
There is a SX video overlay module in it for anyone who can find out who makes this thing.

Here's all the info I have:
Desc: 4-inch high, 4-digit, 7-segment green LED display
On back has "DSP-GSB408CMALT" under that it has "0106" and "Made in China"
Connector: 17 pin header socket (female) 0.1" spacing

I know the "40" is the size because I also have 2.5" and 1.8" displays that are the same # but with "25" and "18" instead of "40".

Bean.

Thanks for the reply. I already figured out the connections.

    Robert,
I haven't had any luck finding a source for these yet.
Can you tell me where you got your units ?
Anyone else seen the modules anywhere ?
    Thanks,
    Bean.

    Bean...Jameco has 3", 4", and 5" in red and red/orange LED, 7 segiment displays.

However, the above displays seem to be only single digit displays...so this may not help you.

I also have a couple of these displays.
I obtained them at the UPENE "Propeller Fest Ohio" event a while back.

I am very interested in a Propeller driver for it.

Did you ever complete your driver? (If so, where do I find it, and what does it do?)
Is there a Propeller version of the driver already available?

    Thanks!

Hey Bean... Did you ever get your driver for this module working? (I have some of them, too...)

(BTW... I have a slightly improved visual edit of the wiring diagram for this module,
if anyone is interested. How do you upload them, or attach them to posts?)
