Ping Bracket Kit -- cabling question

Boe-bot question....

I've just assembled the ping bracket and am confused by one aspect of the assembly

Documentation is weak in following area...

Rather than plug the ping PCB into bread board and wiring it up, the
ping card is now connected to a bracket mounted on a servo. So you connect a
(similar to the servo cables) black/red/white cable to the Ping board which
inturn connects to something... What is that something?

I'm presume that the other end of the cable would connect into the X4 "servo" connector
which would then provide power gnd and signal to the ping board.

I've connected the cable on the ping board has black -> gnd, Red to 5V, and White to signal
(hopefully I will be able to attach the pic of this)

IS IT CORRECT TO ATTACH THE PING CABLE TO THE X4 CONNECTOR?

IS MY CONNECTION ON THE PING PCB CORRECT SO THAT WHEN
CONNECTING TO THE X4 CONNECTOR, THE BLACK SIDE OF
THE CABLE WILL CONNECT SIMILARLY TO THE SERVO CABLES
(BLACK CLOSEST TO THE PCB?)

If someone from parallax sees this, can up update the documentation
to make this clearer.

    Posting to my own query...

Yes connect the ping pcb to the cable with black on GND.

Yes connect the other end to the X4 connector similar to the
way that the servo's connect there.

    Warning Will Robinson, Warning....

My last post was incorrect and if you follow it you can blow out your ping module!!!

The Ping board should be limited to 5V and the servo ports can drive voltage straight
    from the battery pack.

You need to to hook up the ping module to Vdd (+5 volts) in order to remain
within the voltage spec of the ping card!!

Eric, that is why you have a jumper on the Boe, to select Vdd or Vin. When using the breadboard and a servo cable, you can simply use a three pin header like is shown on this page:

or you can use the X4 or X5 headers, making sure you have +5v going to the module.
