Im Using the PDB for my sx chips i have the 28pin chips im trying to do the first program in programming the SX microcontroller·I programed every thing right but I think I didnt hookit up right. Its the LED I think i have it hooked up like this

long leg of LED in RB0 and the short leg hooked on to the board, Right next to tht is the 470 resitor going from there to VDD and I load the program up and then nothing? I have tryed swichting the LED around an still nothing.

The long LED leg is plus, i.e. it should be connected via a 470 Ohm resistor to Vdd. To test the LED, disconnect the other wire going from the LED to the SX from the SX and connect it to Vss. The LED shoud turn on then. This makes sure that the LED is fine. If this is the case, something is wrong with the SX. Did you program it correctly? How do you clock the SX - from the SX-Key, or is there a resonator in the PDB socket?

Sorry, I can only guess here as you did not provide more details but "I programmed every thing right".

I had a problem with an LED once. I bashed my head against it for about 3 hours wondering why it's timing was so wonky. Turned out that I had a flashing LED with an internal timer IC mixed into my box of regular LEDs.
