PBASIC HELP not working

Hi I am having a problem viewing the help file. I copied to the correct location specified. I am able to view other .chm files fine.

I just coped the latest to the folder as specified in the HELP FILE thread.


ANy ideas why i get this error?

Looks Like this error is

    I think you're experiencing·the "XP" thing.

    (Using the Help button in the Editor is making your computer freeze?)

    What to Do:·make a shortcut for Help on your Desktop.· Use that to access Help and not the Editor's button.

    Did this happen after an XP update? -- that's when we've seen is show up in the past. And, just as mysteriously, the problem seems to fix itself.

    All i did was save the CHM file from the site.

    Never used the help file before though.

    I edited my post showing a possible reason for my error...

    Also , It does this in the editor and NOT in the editor.

    Ok I got something reworking by reinstalling the Stamp software. I can atleast use the help file now. Looks like the updated chm caused the issue.

    A reinstall of the editor will ensure that your PC has the proper help components installed for CHM files.

    Does the latest help file come with the latest editor, or do i need to copy the chm file to the system?

    Yes, the latest help file is included in the install.

    As a note most people having problems with the Help Files experience these problems running Help from within the editor, but are able to run the Help File from the Start Menu shortcut without issue.· So if you are experiencing issues with the Help File locking up, try running it from it's Start Menu Icon instead.
