I am looking for schematics for the IBM 33L4889 Video Conferencing PC Camera.· I don't know if there is any or I just can't find it.· Any help would be appreciate.· Here is a pic of the camera: here
Your best bet is to take it apart and look at the main microchip. With luck you might be able to hack the ccd and use it. If you want to use it in USB mode your going to need to get specs on all the chips inside. If you just want to try to hack the ccd, I hope you know sx programming. The bs2 is just not capable of handling the speed that most CCDs run at.
I took the camera apart along time ago, thinking I might use the componets on it for other things but I figured I might be able to do something with it. What??? I don't know but I will look for some projects. Does anybody know any good sites that talk about CCD? Thanks guys, bye.
Well, I got back home from vacation today and took a look at the PCB I took out of the camera and found out the main chip or the CCD is made by Xirlink and the model number is XP-80807. Now its time to google and see what I can find out about this chip and what I can do with it.
