FTDI Drivers... PDB vs USB2SER

· I have recently purchased both the Professional Development Board and·a USB2SER adaptor module... both use the FTDI series IC's on the USB end of things.· My confusion involves·the drivers for these two products... are they the same or not?· It looks to me like they are different FTDI series numbers in each of the products but I'm·not completely·sure, so I thought I'd ask.· The PDB 'Read Me' file does not seem to include the IC number used in the USB2SER·adaptor.· I plan to use both products on the same PC so, one driver for both or·seperate drivers for each?· I have used the USB2SER on my laptop without any problem, and now·I will need to use both products on my bench PC.· Would you guys help me clear this up?
Thank you,
Tim

·· All of our products using the FTDI chipset use the same driver.· This includes the new FTDI chip we recently released.· It will be backward compatible and use the same driver.· Off the top of my head the list of our products using the FTDI FT232BM are the USB BOE, Professional Development Board, USB2SER, USB O-Scope and the USB to Serial Adapter we carry (Which is actually made by FTDI).· Some other boards we make also have FTDI USB connectivity and make use of the same driver, such as the Inkjet Driver Board.

· Thanks, that clears it all up.· After unzipping the PDB USB drivers and reading the 'Read Me' file, I wasn't sure.
Appreciate your help very much,
