Smoked Stamp?

Waaah!
I think I blew my Stamp!
I accidentally raised an input pin to 12V instead of 5V for a second or so. I'd hoped that it only blew that pin, but now the whole Stamp doesn't register any more...sniff...sniff..
What to do?

Oh, right, you're all on holiday. Damn it, this is the only time I have time to play with my Stamp stuff, after Jan 2 I'm back to school too and then I have almost 0 time till March. Oh no,oh no...
I just noticed that all pins, incl. AUXIO, show a little voltage. They all make a LED glow faintly.

My sympathies. I have been waiting for Chinese Lunar New Year's vacation to play with my stuff.

Technology requires quite a bit of attention and it is difficult to get regular work accomplished at the same time. I guess that is why Edison only slept 3-4 hours a day. He was passionately devoted to his ideas.

I am not sure if you blew the I/O or the voltage regulator. You can check by providing battery power [3AAs at about 4.5-5.0volts] to the unregulated power input. If the damage is to the regulator, you can provide 'auxilary regulated power' and continue on.

AUXIO - It sounds like you have a BX40p.

Yes, you're right, I do have a BS2p40. What I did was this: I have a 12v SLA running the Stamp with a 7805. During my testing with the CM8880 circuits I accidentally raised pin 7 to the 12V strip instead of the 5V strip on my breadboard, so I don't think it has anything to do with the onboard regulator.
Anyway, there's not much I can do except to wait till Monday, is there (sniff)?
