Suggestion For parallax 25%-50% sale

· I have came up with an idea that will blow the roof on the buyers and members of parallax.
if they have a special 25% to 50% sale. This·will bring hundreds and thousands of people to parallax.
And also they should·have more tournament's, contest's,·and sweepstakes. And also a special sale like buy one get one half off or 25% off. It really depends on them, but this a greet idea.

Remember, this is a hobby, and all hobbys are expensive... Parallax tries to sell stuff for as little as they can.· There are a lot of costs to running a business.... something you will understand when your a bit older!
But they could put a little sweepstakes, and contest on top of that. Not like the ink jet printer contest, but a better contest
which people will be willing to participate in.

This is my first parallax product that i budgeted to buy. Unfortunately i have only $22 dollars, and i havent seen any BS1 on ebay. So any one wanna sell a BS1 for $22 dollars, or donate me a couple of bux.

One reason you won't see the BASIC Stamp modules available with a big discount is because such sales are often disruptive to our distributors (Jameco, DigiKey, and others). Lots of silly business reasons, but we get asked questions from them like "well, Parallax, how about passing us the same discount you give customers ON TOP of our regular discount so we can participate in this excellent promotional idea". Sometimes this means we pay to sell them stuff. Maybe this is why our marketing department favors discounts on new products, new kits, sensors, etc. that are not the main core of our product line (like BASIC Stamps).
But we still have a problem. You have only twenty-two bucks and you need a BASIC Stamp. We need to figure this one out. What's your locale - if you were nearby I'd just give you a factory-blemished module to get you started. EBay won't help much with shipping charges, but a Parallax sale would help with USPS postage (as you originally requested).

Contact me after January 1st, 2006 via kgracey@parallax.com and we'll make arrangements to spend your twenty bucks AND meet your needs. That board from eBay isn't going to get you started - it's just a carrier board. In the meantime please remove your "Screwed" (you didn't spell this correctly, BTW) signature line if you are going to expect some support from this crowd.

And as a long time member and sometimes user of the splendid Basic Stamp technology I strongly suggest you go back and re-read KG's posting.· There is a newer· posting in this thread, I suggest you go back and read it concerns why you should go back and re-read KG's posting. Spelling also counts points towards a proper reply.
