Is this baudrate string right ?

I am using a serial device connected to a professional dev board, to the serial port (the max232 chip).
As baud string setting I am using the following:
"N115200"
but it does·not work.
If, however, I use Hyperterminal (the Windows communication program)·to communicate with the same device, it does work.
To test if it works I can send a single byte to perform a complete function, so it is fairly easy to test.
The target device supports only 115200 bauds, unless firmware is upgraded.
Is "N115200" the standard·baud string·to access a conventional serial device at this speed ?
