I'm not sure of the bits for a pioneer remote.· I found the best thing to use is a programmable remote set to the "sony standard".· Instructions showing how to do this should come with the remote or just look on line.· The sony standard uses a very simple set of data bits that the processor can use.· I've found that other remotes tend to send crazy data packets that are hard to scope out and get to work.· Check out this link:
A guy could make his own and maybe not need a cable, but not on this level of miniaturization.· Really handy, takes up little space in the "magic bag of tricks."·
