I need to order some parts - I Need recommendations

Hello guys,

I need to order some parts for my stamp audio project. I went to Digi-Key and tried to order a part (ADC0832) and it would not let me. It wanted me to order in bulk. I don't need 400, I only need one!

So I ask some of you veterans out there, what do you recomend?

Thanks,

Try again?· I was able to add one, at like $2.75 but of course, if you chose the DIP package, that's a non-stock item, and so they may, in fact have a minimum order qty for those.

Yes, check the package they come in as they have multipul listings of the same part, some are Bulk, some are in huge rolls (Tape and reel) for automatic machine placement. Sometimes their search gizmo is not working so well I think. Use Findchips.com

That part is a non stock item at digikey

Ahhh Finally after checking a few of them Newark has them QTY 1

    Package/Case:8-MDIP; Peak Reflow

    Not sure what MDIP is.....

    Mike,
Some of digikey part number are for reels and some are for individual. I think they add a "-1" or a "-2". If you pick the wrong part number it will only let you order in reel quantities.

    Thanks guys,

That was the problem then, I tried to order an 8 pin DIP package and it said it was a non stock item. Well, now I know a bit more about quantities and what to look for.

As for the 8MDIP meaning, im guessing it means the case is an 8 pin Molded DIP - 8MDIP

    Thanks,
