Can I power 2-4 servos off the OEM BS2sx Vdd pin? National's specs say that the LM2940 can supply up to 1A.

    Bear in mind that a servos stall current can be significantly higher than normal operating current.· If you stall two servos you can easily end up shutting it down.· Also, depending on the power supply you could brown-out the module.· Otherwise I'd say yes.

    the onboard regulator probably isnt heatsinked enough to supply the maximum rated current.
