The schematic for the Audio amplifier on the PDB board shows 9 volts connected to the LM386.· I can find no port for this.· Is this connection hardwired into the PDB?· The 386 is rated 4-12V - is it OK to use 12V instead of 9?

Yes -- the LM386 power comes from Vin (to use Vdd would cause loss of power and distortion at high input levels). The LM386N-1 that is used has an upper end range of 12 volts.

    OOPS!

I'll have to check the output of my bench power supply when I get home! I thought this was powered by the on board regulator. Good thing the LM386 is in a socket incase I have to replace mine.
