How Do I Place Pictures w/ the Message?

I see the "Insert Image" button on the toolbar.· Does that mean that to have a picture included in the body of one's message, that it must first be on a webpage?· It doesn't allow to "cut & paste".· How can I place a picture in the message area as I've seen some do?

    The picture needs to be on the Internet somewhere to that it can be seen -- you can't insert a picture that exists on your local machine, because you will be the only person that can see it.

    OK, that's what I figured, I guess.· The users who have PICs within their message/s must have them on a personal page or something.

    No, not nessesary. Andy Lindsay frequently incorporates inline photos without it being on a personal page. Its a two step process of attaching the photos, then editing the post placing the photos inline using the attachment link as the source. Mike's link details the process. Now PMs cant accept attachments, so it has to be present on the web through other means. Once I attached a message in the Test forum then inlined the link in the PM.

    So, if there's a message without a thumbnail that goes with it, then it's from a personal webpage or ftp or something like that, Yes?

    It's super simple, all you have to do is right click on any image on the web, go down to the botom of the popup window, select properties, and copy the URL to that image. Then in the Parallax message, click the insert picture icon, and paste that URL you just copied.

    For your own custom images, you will need to upload to some sort of image hosting site like image shack as one example.

    Lead Free;

    Relax.· I figure it this way.· It took some of your time (four hour minimum·at $150.00 per hour) to put the post together.· It also took time from your paid (and timed) internet connection (you really should shop around some, but this works well for this example) and the allocated amount is $2.37.· There is also the $0.60 for the cup of coffee.

    So the picture is placed at a cost of $602.97.· 10% = $60.30 in COST not revenue.

    Ergo: Jon owes you 60 bucks and change for the extra exposure.

    (If you manage to collect, please let me know, I'll change my retirement plans accordingly.)

    Not a chance! The term "starving actor" isn't made up -- you have any idea how difficult it can be to collect fees when one isn't famous?...

    That's the gag, isn't it? 10% of nothing is still ... nothing.
