What devices use the SX?

What devices, such as common consumer electronic devices, use SX microcontrollers? I use SX's for various hobby engineering projects. Whenever I ask anyone who is in electronic engineering or relating fields (such as manufacturing or industrial automation), they all say they heard of the Basic Stamp. Why not the SX?

FYI every Basic Stamp that was released after the BS2 uses the SX Processor! This includes the BS2SX, BS2E, BS2P, BS2P40, BS2PE and the BS2PX

We use the SX in our EFX line: the RC-4, DC-16, AP-8 and will use it in future products as well. The SX never got the marketing support from Ubicom that competive processors did -- we're hoping to change that a bit by making tools available at very reasonable prices.

How come Lightfoot cannot receive personal messages (PM)? Has he deleted the account? I was going to PM him about CLDs (from another thread), but the PM button is greyed and hes not in the list of people to PM.

    Paul,

·· In the Control Panel (Forums) you can opt out of PMs (Disable them).

There is a list of projects that use the SX at

    http://www.sxlist.com/techref/ubicom/projects.htm

But I think you are looking more for commercial projects? I know at least one version of those business card scanner "toys" has an SX in it. Anyone else aware of anything? Must be more than just that!

Most manufactures probably would not want it to be known what chips they use. I know alot of manufactures actually grind the numbers off of the top of ICs to make it harder for people to reverse-engineer their products. (Some even print "fake" part numbers on the chips to really screw people up).

There may be lots of products that use the SX, but we probably never know.

    Bean.
