You really want to thank a soldier? Thank him with a christmas gift.

    www.usgalco.com/Holster4Heroes.htm

The Holsters for Hero's program gives top quality gun holsters to the soldiers. When you purchase one, they'll send one to them. You don't have to know what kind, they take care of all that. If you don't want to purchase a holster for yourself, you can just purchase one for them.

Every holster you purchase for a soldier, Galco will give one, in addition to the one you purchased, to a soldier on your behalf.

I'm on my 35th holster that I gave to them (totaling 70). I'm not joking. My dad is a doctor, and he and I have paid for these holsters. It's much better than writing a letter to a anonymous soldier, or just thanking them in your home town. These get to the soldiers that can't afford them. Galco goes out of their way to make sure it goes to the soldiers that need them and not the General sitting at his desk.

Out of 35 (70) holsters I have donated, I have gotten letters back from 68 of them. The only two that I havn't recieved from, I donated two weeks ago, the letters take a while to get back since they are overseas. I did have one soldier that couldn't send mail, so his letter took 6 months to get to me, but I still got it, and he was very appreciative.

    The price is: $159.95

Also, the link above, needs to be opened in Internet Explorer for the "donate now" and "donate anonymously" buttons to work.

    Knight.

Here's another great christmas idea for soldiers, the Cooper Sling. It is a replacement sling for the gunner in a Humvee, the military issue slings are 2" wide straps the gunner has to sit in all day on patrol. After about thirty minutes the gunner's legs go numb because the strap cuts off circulation to the legs and can even lead to nerve damage, also there is no protection from being ejected from the Humvee in an IED event, the cause of death for many gunners. The Cooper Sling is a wider seat designed to prevent loss of circulation and has a harness to prevent ejection with a quick release buckle for when quick evacuation is nesseasry. The guy sells them at cost and the gunners can't get enough of them. The inventor has an adopt a gunner program for citizens to sponser the creation of sling for a gunner in the feild.
