FTDI driver install for USB

Hi,
I'm trying to get my laptop to communicate with a Basic Stamp2 for the first time over a USB port.

For some reason the driver doesn't seem to see the USB port!!· Is there something I'm doing wrong during the install?
I'm on Windows XP SP2

·· What do you mean the driver doesn't see the USB Port?· When you plug the USB device into your USB port, you are usually prompted to install a driver (New Hardware Wizard).· Did this not happen on your machine?
