anyone heard of a Neurophone?

I came across this website the other day and started looking around to see If I could find any personal reviews or explanations of this product. It's basically a box into which you plug an audio source (say, an MP3 player) and a pair of "transducers". When the transducers are placed on bare skin (I'm guessing near the head) it allows you to "hear" (more like perceive) the music/sounds without the need for speakers of any kind. I am just curious about it. First off, has anyone here ever used such a thing who can confirm if it actually works? second, if it does work, I would be very interested in trying to build one (based on what I've seen, it can't be too complicated).

Just curious about what other people think,
Justin W

I've also heard about an experimental radio that's supposed to fit in a (large) hollow tooth that works on the same principal...
I just can't remember where I saw it...
