You can use it to monitor events (eg. read sensor values) and control appliances at a remote location.

You can also use it standalone for a (small) homepage.

When you say small, how many characters in that homepage?
Can you expand it by adding a serial eeprom?

The pink has 256 kilobytes storage for webpages. That is alot if you only use

text, but not if you want to use pictures.

It is not possible to send webpages from the basic stamp (stored in an eeprom

    connected to the stamp).

Because the PINKy can read and write variables that the stamp can see, you could use it as a web based controller for about anything. Getting down to a specific "use":

Set the PINKy behind a secure firewall, and protect it with a password or VPN (secure web connection).

Set up a STAMP to control some house lights, and connect a PINKy to it.

Now, when you're out of town, you can connect to the PINKy, and turn some lights off an on to scare the bad guys away.

Or, turn the thermostat down when you leave, and on your back home from an extended trip, find a "hot spot", connect, and turn the heat on so get home to a nice toasty home.

But you could use HREF instances to call picture files from another website....so, although the actual picture doesn't reside on your PINK, the PINK holds the address of the file you want to display....yes no??
