Dev board question

So I think I'm ready to start soldering onto a development board like this one:

I think I understand how to solder leads in the holes, and I see how some holes are connected and some aren't. My question is, how would I connect holes that aren't connected, or rather two leads in adjecent holes? Is there some sort of special jumper or connector I would use?

Just use your favorite point-to-point wiring technique. A lot of use use wire-wrap wire for low-current signal lines, and 22 guage wire for power supplies.

Wire wrap is really the easiest to change if you ever want to reconfigure.
It was really made for building proto-types on the 0.01" grid.
But, it requires buying special wire-wrap sockets and at least a manual wire-wrap tool.

Still, it is usually worth the investment. And you avoid getting burned by the soldering iron.

It seems in Kaohsiung, Taiwan that almost no one knows about it.
I see a few wire wrap sockets and no tools or wire. People don't seem to understand what they are for.

Soldering sooner or later causes a lot of wear and tear that wire wrap avoid.
For instance, desoldering has always been a hassle.

1. You must apply plenty of heat but not too much.
2. You must get rid of excess solder but often it takes multiple attempts.
3. You must get the bits and pieces of wire out of the holes in the board without damaging traces.

I clear soldered holes with a Pin Vise and a .8mm twist drill. The Pin Vise is nice and slow - much better than a Dremmel tool and the drill size is less than the actual hole [so I don't damage the through hole plating].

So, having no idea what wire-wrap is, I consulted google (http://tinyurl.com/bofmt), and unless you're making jewelry, that looks like a lot of work! Hasn't anybody invented a little piece of metal that will snap onto the ends of the leads/wires that protrude from the underside of the board?

Maybe I should take some time out from the thing I'm inventing to invent something that will make inventing easier!
