Take a 12 Volt unipolar stepper motor
Set up a PWM frequency of 50% duty cycle
Connect 24 volts thrugh this 50% duty cycle frequency for your power to the common lead.
Would the current result be the same as running on 12 volts
Would there be an improvement in the speed and power of the stepper motor or would you have to start each coil pulse with 100% duty cycle and drop back to 50% to get an improvement vs using just 12 volts at 100% duty.
Ahh yes, out come the calculators, I can see iit now.. Bck to my Art of Electronics book and ZZZZZZzzzzz.....

Yes there would be an improvement in torque.
This is similar to using LR drive, but more effecient.
