Old BS1

Amazing!

I'm on vacation this week and just piddling in the shop, avoiding my "Honey Do List"! Just ran across a BS1 that I purchased back in 1993. I installed the BS1 on a Super Carrier board and connected the BS1 serial adapter to it. Ran the Identify in the Stamp editor and it found it! Now I guess I'm obligated to build a Prop-1 Controller "knock off"!

It's truly amazing how durable these little guys are, this was originally part of an altimeter for one of my rockets I used to fly, I know for a fact this little guy has been through several high velocity rocket burials and It still works!

Just though I'd share!

Mike

When one of my friends in engineering handed me the BS1 Serial Adapter a couple years ago the first thing I did was look for my first BS1 -- and like you, it ID'd and programmed right out of the gate. That was kind of fun. The cool part about BS1 programming these days is that a lot of BS2 features (like the Memory Map) are available for BS1 programs; that's especially helpful with such a small controller.
