BASIC Stamp Editor ERROR Msg. "Can not program v1.2 of the Basic Stamp 2pe. Co

...for updated software. Just got my new 2pe and an LCD display. Display works in test mode. Cannot get any of the demo scripts in the editor to work. Where to get "updated software" I guess is the question. Any assistance is greatly apreciated!

    I just downloaded and reinstalled v2.2 again. Same results. I just noticed the following lines in the Read Me file which is of some concern:

    WHAT'S NEW
    VERSION 2.2

    ---General---
    Added support for BS2px v1.0.

    My error message refers to v1.2 for BS2pe. Not sure what the BS2px is and/or if this is the same thing???BTW, I am trying to run the demo program LCDCMD.BSP found in the BS2p directory. I have fixed the Directives for the Stamp, PBASIC (2.5) and the port.

    I appreciate your help.

    The error you're getting doesn't make sense. Did you uninstall the old editor before installing the new? I suggest you try it that way.

    In case this is a real error please report your OS, memory, etc. so that our compiler engineer can investigate.

    Thanks Jon,

    The installer wouldn't let me reinstall the Editor until I had uninstalled the earlier copy, which I did using the Add/Remove Program panel. For the record, I'm running XP on a Dell 360 Workstation with 1Gig of ram.

    And you verified through the Help\About dialog that you are indeed running version 2.2?

    ·· A new version of the Stamp Editor was created to handle the updates to the BS2pe, however, due to a mix-up it didn't get posted.· I thought it had been when I referred you to download the latest version.· The new version should be up sometime today.· I would try again first thing in the morning to be sure.· Sorry for the mix-up.
