I don't know it this is the real deal or a computer generated effect but this huge biped robot leans over and catches a small car! It is wicked to watch, it is like something from the movies!

After a bit of investigation I turned up this tidbit (via searching Colin Mayhew) "....But in reality the Mini Cooper Autonomous Robot, Colin Mayhew, and Casson Publishing were all just part of an elaborate viral marketing campaign dreamed up by the ad agency Crispin Porter & Bogusky. What were they advertising? The new Mini Cooper obviously."
So Jon's correct, Flyingfishfinger, thats a good catch, I had to loop through the section a couple times and you are correct, in that split second the robot appears to hover over the darkened floor.

He said he chose the Mini auto engine to power the thing because of the enormous power that is required to run it. Electrical actuators would drain a battery in less than 20 minutes. A gas engine on the other hand, would provide the longevity need to power the bot. To recharge would simply mean to fill it back up with fuel.

All I can say is, if it's real, it's amazing.
