I would like to use my BS2 as a digital Potentiometer. How could I tell it to put say 100 ohms between pins a and b?

Any suggestions..?

The bs2 itself doesn't have that capability. However it will easily control an external digital pot. Google:AD5220,or Parallax has information on how to do it.

You can't do that with a BASIC Stamp -- use a digital potentiometer chip like the DS1267.

One of the side effects of the commercialization of the internet is the disappearance of local electronic components dealers, even Radio Shack is slowly transforming to a end-product only retailer. Companies such as www.digikey.com and www.mouser.com offer affordable components, fast and good service.
