can i connect two or more basic stamp2 together ? if i can how can i do this ? I want to increase the amount of
i/o pins.

    Sure; user a serial connection -- see SEROUT ans SERIN in the help file for example code. If you just want simple I/O, using shift registers is a whole lot cheaper.
