6V / 800 mA RadioShack AC adapter outputs high voltage - is this a problem?

I purchased the recommended RadioShack 6V / 800mA AC adapter to use with the RadioShack WAM kit. I was poking around a circuit with a multimeter and noticed that Vin is 7.41V, not 6. The adapter shows 7.42V output when unconnected from the board. Does anybody know if this is normal? If it isn't, I'll exchange it.

Thanks.

Shouldn't be a problem. FYI most unregulated DC power supplies output around 50% more voltage when there's no load ie. a 9V power supply will typically measure around 14V with no load.
