·just need help identifying two pins on a lm339 comparator for a basic stamp project in the book 123 robotic experiments for the evil genius:project 120

the schematic has on··1/4 lm339 comparator as pin 3 used for vdd, pin 1 used for pin 20 of the basic stamp2, pin
12 used for ground, pin 6-·for 10k potentiometer, pin 7·+·used for connection to the sharp gp2d120. So thoes pins of the lm339 are used for one sharp gp2d120.

Here is where i need help:

right next to that sharp detector is the other sharp that i'am to connect also to some of the other pins of the lm339 comparator( just two). However it just shows a negative(-) symbol of the lm339 that i'am to connect to a 10k potentiometer and a positve(+) symbol of the lm339 that i'am to connect to the sharp gp2d120.

Know what pins are + and - on the lm339 comparator 14 pin?

thanks in advanced for all the people that help!!
