Why not use an ADC0834 4-Channel ADC?· One chip will do 4 channels on the same three I/O lines.

The 0831 is a 1 channel sensor...So you would need 1 0831 per sensor.· Because it is a serial interface, you need a clock signal, DataIn signal, and Chip select.

Why not use a TLC2543.· That ADC has 11 input channels and will handle 11 sensors.

The only problem I can see using a different family ADC is that if he doesn't know how to calculate for the different resolution, he could have trouble with the math, which is necessary to use this sensor properly, since the output is non-linear.

The ADC0834 is online from any vendor who produces the chip; use Google to find it.

I've attached a demo program so that you can see the programming differences between the ADC0831 and ADC0834.
