    Ed,

·· Actually before the Wallpaper came out, I tried some of the images we have like that.· I find it hard to see the icons with such sharply contrasting colors in an image.· That's why I'm glad we have these:

Hey now, you're starting to give people around here ideas...Which isn't always good when one has the technology and know-how to realize these goals!

Can you do a really cute girl holding a pair of PDB's in each hand covering up uh certain things ? Sorry if I offend anyone but I'm really bored today with radio and processor designs and my mind is wandering on other things. But really that wouldn't be such a bad piece of wallpaper would it ?

    Mike,

Sure, but can you funnel the request through our HR Manager just to make sure it is okay? In the old days of Parallax stuff like this was more possible.

I can't share some of the events that used to happen in the early Parallax office, but a few are fair game. Early Parallax activities included strapping primers on metal bolts mounted on the top of R/C cars and running them into square curbs, shooting old office equipment in the Nevada desert, and other·forms of fun activity. All activities like this are now strictly prohibited by the new HR manual, which isn't even thick but has enough rules to keep us out of trouble. There's still room for fun, but now those activities are officially "not company sponsored". Just with more staff it can be a bit of a challenge to·get the guys a place to play ping-pong, or a place to store R/C airplanes, or an area for weights, etc.·But·I do my best to ensure we don't·let the red tape get in our way every day.

The only form of useless destruction we frequently observe today is from lawyers. Let them in your door and you can't even write an e-mail message, or reply to a newsgroup forum. What starts as a simple screen of communication and collaborative "aid" turns into a great funnel of control with control over business practices. 'Nother day, for sure.

As long as you don't work for Parallax you can ask us for anything, even a trip to the moon.

    - Ken

Maybe a "calendar" girl <WHACK!!! Slapped with political correctness> er.... person
holding a new Parallax product??? Yeah, why not an annual calendar like the ones
they hawk at the kiosks in the malls? The Parallax calendar would go right after the
"Queen" calendar but before the Penquin and Puppy calendars.

Sorry, it's been weird today. <Yeah, I'm not really sorry either :->

    Shut up! No!!

    Why you.... grrr.....

YikES! The guys with the white suit are coming back. Later!

    KEN,

I know where you are coming from, politically correct is really getting me down. I guess that if you could do it then you'll also need to have a version available for the girls also, otherwise HR wouldn't even touch the idea. Oh well it's probably only a dream anyway.
