I've seen quite a few posts from people stating that they have no formal electronics training, so here is some info for those interested: the Navy Electricity and Electronics Training Series. Here is a link:

    It is part of the copyright law.

    Before I looked at this, I was thinking that the ARRL is just about the best there is.

    True, they also cannot sigularly hold a patent, though they have IP rights to any developed with government money, they also have to power to revoke IP rights at whim, just ask the inventor of the jet engine (If you could, he's dead).

    Some of the material is very specific to the Navy, mostly equipment that only they use, but there is a ton of solid info. The only downside is getting it printed. For those anywhere near a Kinko's, they will print PDFs st a very reduced rate when the page volume is high. I think you have to ask them about the rates, though.
