BS2 OEM USB interface

Hi,

I want to build a BS2 OEM with a USB interface.· I have a FTDI module that does the USB to·CMOS interface.· Can·this be connected directly to the BS2 Pic?· This will save putting in a CMOS to RS232 converter and the RS232 to BS2 pic interface components.·

Any suggestions or hints would be very welcome.

    Helen, the schematic for the BS2OEM, which is available on our website on that product page, shows the connections for the RS-232 interface.· You should be able to use that information to deconstruct that section in your application.· Just make a note of other hardware connected to this section, such as the 13811 and be sure it remains connected.
