USB to Serial adapter

Can anyone tell me off hand if the USB to Serial adapter that Parallax sells is·compatible ·with VB 5 MSCOMM??? ... Yes i'm living in the dark ages.

    The device is recognized by the computer as a standard serial port once the correct VCP driver is installed.· Whether VB5's com routines operate properly we cannot confirm.· Only that the device works normally from a hardware perspective.

    Yes, and the attached should work with VB5's MSCOMM control, assuming you've installed it correctly. As I recall, there is a problem with registering the control properly -- search MSDN with VB5 and MSCOMM to find the fix.
