MAX232 on PDB

HI All,

I'm trying to learn about using the RS 232 DCE port on the PDB using the code posted in this thread: <http://forums.parallax.com/forums/default.aspx?f=15&m=89398>. I haven't used hyperterminal before and I dont think I'm configuring it properly to talk to the BS2 on the PBD as i'm not seeing any communiation between the PDB or computer. In hyperterminal the buad rate is set for 9600 and 7 data bits. The comm port is set for #1 as this is my serial port. I'm not sure about parity, stop bits or flow control though. I' m running XP with the PDB going to the USB port on the computer and the RS-232 DCE going to the computers serial port . Any help or guidance is appreciated.

Thanks, Jim K

You can simplify your life and open a Debug Terminal window manually. It allows you to set the baud rate and hardware flow control. The communications are N81.
