I am working on an Eclipse plugin that will support Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.

Otherwise I don't believe that there is anything else out there currently.

Eclipse is an awesome open source Java IDE. (http://www.eclipse.org). Very full featured and supports extensibility through plug ins.

The plan is to develop a plugin for the Eclipse that has all the nice features one expects from an IDE. I use Eclipse in my daily life as a Java developer.

Have you tried Wine (www.winehq.org/) or other "windows emulator" ?
(running Javelin IDE with a emulator on Linux)
(do not trust anything I say about Linux)

I tried Javelin IDE with latest wine.
Installer goes OK, but the IDE fails to start with a weird error message (bogus context in ...)

I also tryed vmware but had problem communicating with the demo board: scanning tells me loopback is ok, but reports no to "echo" and "get status" (no I did not forget to switch on the power :) )

So Ryan, keep us posted about your eclipse plugin, that would realy help.

I'm sorry to say that I haven't been able to work on the Plugin, nor anything else Javelin since I posted that last reply. As luckwould have it,·I started working for a small startup company and what used to be free time is now time that I spend working. :( I am trying to get back on to it now that things are starting to level off a bit at work.

Ryan
