Help and suggestions with RF/wireless setup needed...

I’m new to this board and was hoping I could get some advice on a new project.

I would like to put together a PC controlled, wireless system that manipulates a multiple servomotor robotic arm. In addition, I want to return telemetry data (X, Y coordinates) from a separate IC2 device located on the arm, to the PC.
·
The part I need help with is the wireless communication set-up. I am a little bit clueless as to what components are needed. But, this is what I have figured out so far, how far off base am I?

PC to BASIC Stamp 2 OEM Module (assembled) #:·27290 (serial connection)
then…
BASIC Stamp Module attached to IP/Dual-Mode Transceiver #:·27988
·
Bot Side//
IP/Dual-Mode Transceiver #:·27988 connected to?
Parallax Servo Controller #:·28023·
