16-bit Sibling for the ADC0831

Hi,
I'm newbie in need of a ADC with a better than 8 bit resolution (think I need 16 bits). The ADC mentioned in WAM
ADC0831 looks fine in every respect:
1. it's DIP8, great, 'cause there isn't much room·where I want to fit my circuit in, yet I want DIP it's SOO easy
2. it's serial synchronous which is very easy with a BS2
3. it's all laid out in the books, complete with source code and all, you've got to type it in and 'GO'
So, does anybody know of a 16bit sibling to the ADC0831?
Thx!
Erik

·· You can find the 16-bit siblings to the ADC0831 on the National Semiconductor website at:
http://www.national.com/· By typing in ADC16 in the Part Number Search box to get the ADC16xxx listings.

·· I forgot to mention that I have never used one of the ADC16xxx chips, nor do I know if they're code compatible or what the prices are like.· I just knew about National's part numbering scheme.
