Professional Development Board Sale?

Parallax Staff,

··· If I may be so bold, may I ask if the Professional Development Board will be going on sale again any time·soon?· I'm the first to admit that I should have taken advantage of the sale opportunity at the PDB introduction, but I could not spare the cost at the time, and I need to purchase one now.

Thanks,

Tim

Do you mean these? I think they are in stock now.

But I think I see your qustion is "On SALE" not "For SALE", I may have misunderstood.

    Tim,

It's not on our list of marketing promotions at the moment, which means it will not be on sale for at least six weeks. However, if you're going to get into the SX microcontroller then you might want to get it in the new SX Tech Tool Kit Professional. For $229 you get a huge pile of Parallax hardware:

I also doubt you'll see the Professional Development Board on our eBay sales since it's not sold via RadioShack. Usually we refurbish the RadioShack returns and sell them on eBay.

Yep DoggieDoc, that's what I'm thinking of.

Ken, Thanks for that information.· I have been considering the SX line for a while, and it looks like what I'd like to learn...· the problem is time and timing· - can I afford or make time for the SX·learning curve right now, or do I wait until I feel that I have more time?· Either way, I could go with your suggestion and learn SX now or a little later.· Hmmmm.... I need to make a decision!

The 'directly involved'·Parallax support is so appreciated and in my humble opinion, the key to your success.· THANK YOU!

Go with the SX Pro kit -- you'll get the PDB which you can use with your BASIC Stamp modules now, and all the materials required for learning the SX later. And learning the SX is even easier now with our SX/B compiler which will let you use your PBASIC skills to build SX projects.
