Does any of you know where can I get cheap, good quality and·wide selection of·prototyping boards for SMD?

The SMD to DIP prototyping boards in most websites are very expensive and is a pain to use SMD chips. However, most new and exciting chips are in SMD.

Anyone can give me some idea?

Thanks.

You might want to do this yourself. For 50 bucks ExpressPCB will make three "miniboards". These can be SMD to DIP style. If you have a bandsaw or jigsaw you can cut apart the boards, this way you can make 15 adaptor boards, X 3 for 50 bucks.

Forrest, I did some experimentation with the problem of refering to pages on sparkfun's site. The reason using a direct link doesn't work is a user specific cart number is embedded in the link. If you edit the link to: www.sparkfun.com/shop/index.php?shop=1&cat=66& it will work for anyone clicking on the link turn.gif .

I have bought some prototype boards from this company :

    http://www.electroboards.com/index.php

They·produce very good quality boards and also has a large selection too but I find that their prices is a bit steep, considering prototype boards is just a PCB.

Sparkfun only have a few types of boards which does not cover·enough SMD parts in the market.

    Anyone have other good source?

you can also check out digikey and do a search for SURFBOARDS while in the main DigiKey menu. In my summer 2005 catalog it is on page 1374.

For the cost of a single board order you can buy all you need to do it yourself.

    Try this--it works for me:

    Dear Bobledoux,

Bought some TTS fils as suggested by you and will try it out once I receive the items.

I am currently learning to use the Eagle CAD to do the board layout.

Thanks for pointing out this option. I heard of good reviews from users·after using·this product.

For simple 1-2 side boards I use the ExpressPCB software, which is free. A discussion on its use can be found at www.robotroom.com
