4x20 LCD Display Problem

Hi,
I am programming a 4x20 LCD display refer to LCD Smartie. I am using embedded windows CE and embedded VC++. The LCD could display on, cursor on, blinking and move to the correct position through Parallel Port. However, the LCD couldn't show the correct word on the screen. It just blinking on the destinated position. What should I do? I am using S6A0069 controller (compatible with HD44780). Thanks for help.
