Problem with Xicor Eeprom and BasicStamp 40p arrgh ..

I built my project origionally with a BS2SX and the Xicor X25640.·· It worked fine .. I used the chip to hold all the display data.

I used the code subroutines in the Parrallax Appkit.

Then I rebuilt the project on stripboard useing a BS40P ...···

Now it will only read FF's

I've tried everything .. I've changed the chips made a special test program but still nothing ..

Does anyone have any ideas ?

If you used the AUX pins then you may have left and AUXIO command out of your program. Posting code when you're having trouble with it is always a good idea -- otherwise we're just speculating.

Any PBASIC commands that deal rely on the processor speed due to their use of timer units (PULSIN/PULSOUT, SERIN/SEROUT, PAUSE, and like commands) will need to be updated/changed to account for the faster speed of the BS2px platform.

There may be other issues as well, but start there first.

Somehow I'm incapable of fixing a problem until I've posted it here ....

Answer was that I had a dry joint that connected when touched (Ie with a test probe) ...
