You can't save to a floppy but you can copy to a floppy.

This dicussion really should be in the Sandbox as it seems an OS issue, not a BASIC Stamp programming/interfacing problem

Agreed, but it appears to be an interface problem between the Stamp Editor and the floppy drive so I left it where it was.· If he can save to My Documents then we will move it to the Sandbox.

FWIW, I opened my editor, opened a file, clicked "Save As" and inserted "A:\" at the beginning of the file name and it worked fine. Chances are that the write-protect on the floppy is enabled.· Yes, I also did the right-click, Send To > 3.5 Inch Floppy and that worked too.

    bugg,

·· With the age of the machine you mentioned, the floppy drive might not work at all.

It works, I can save other files, but not BS2 files. If this helps any, the computer did have a virus before I put the BASIC Stamp Editor on it.

    Well bugg,

I'm going to have a guy I know 'whack' the hard drive and start from scratch, but I need all the programs saved on floppies before that. See my dilema?

Bugg, try saving all your programs to a Word Doc and then transfer them over to the floppy drive.

    Bugg:

Save your files to the hard disk, then use Explorer to copy them to the floppy. What is this insistence that you use the IDE to save to floppy?
