Problem with stamp turning itself off, computer not finding it either.

I have a homework board that has been work great for the longest time, but something happened to it and now when I turn it on it will just turn itself off 4 or 5 seconds later. I can't reprogram it either, because the BASIC Stamp Editor cannot find the stamp, even in the 5 seconds that it will actually stay on. Even when absolutely nothing is hooked up to it, it will do this. Am I just making a simple mistake or is my stamp broken?

    Are you using a battery? It may be nearly dead. The 9 volt ones don't last as long as the AAs.

    Low power cycles the RESET and it begins to go on and off.
