svtehs.com still seems to have it listed on their site, but with no pricing:

    http://www.svtehs.com/cgi-bin/showdesc.pl?product=SX-EN&lang=en&page=1

Maybe something like this could be put onto the SX52 Demo Board to get the same effect:

That is a different print (same functionality though).

    Prices:

Aye Chihuahua, $122.40 for the ethernet evaluation board? (I know this is typical for evaluation boards, but that doesn't mean it is a value). Depending on how much the RTL8019AS (ethernet controller) is, it is likely to be cheaper to prototype the circuit yourself (using the pdf for the schematic).

I think these are old prices (eg. 204 USD for sxkey-like programmer ??)

That's why I think it is not available at all. I can't find a date when the site

    was last updated.

CS8900A-H ethernet controller header board (see earlier post) is 34 USD.

Put it on a sx52 development board (Parallax, 10 USD) and you have·the same

    functionality.

    regards peter

I think I'll put one of those Olimex CS8900A boards on my next Sparkfun order, see what we can see. It'd be interesting to be able to put together that board for less than $60 or so (Thanks, Parallax!)

I'll let you in on a secret the office uses to date web resources when the author didn't bother to post an updated field. Its called the WayBack Machine and is accessable at www.archive.org . It is a project done by the Congressional Archives to take snapshots of the internet to preserve a timeline of the web. It isn't a complete archive (for instance the price page for svtehs is unavailible), but it captures a good portion. The last time the main page was altered was 24 October 2004, the last time the content on the main page was changed was 06 June 2004 (thats what the asterick by the date means). Also svtehs is a Latvian company, Id be a bit skeptical purchasing a product from a former soviet state. The amount of corruption and weak legal system means the likelyhood of being ripped off is higher, with little to no legal avenue for persuing a company.

Is this what you are looking for? I finally came across this while perusing various sites.

    www.svtehs.com/cgi-bin/showdesc.pl?product=SX-EN〈=en&page=1

There were several items in Parallax products lists that led to error pages.

I can vouch for the folks at SV-Tehs... In fact one of the guys that started the company works for Ubicom!

Whether or not they are still in business, I do not know. Just email them and ask?

I may have an old ethernet board laying around somewhere... can't guarantee that it works though. Email me at pearlsixtytwo@hotmail.com if you're interested. What are they worth anyway?

    Cheers,
    Stephen

After some more looking around, I'm not sure that the CS8900A will work right out of the box - the SX Stack was written for the Realtek RTL8019A.

I did, however, find a breakout board for that chip, at www.edtp.com. Only one of the signals - IOCHRDY - that the SX stack seems to use is left unconnected, but a quick piece of wire should fix that.

Even better: only $25 for the kit.

EDIT: Forgot to note, the board in question is the "Packet Whacker"

Morning, everyone, thank you very much for helping me.there are still some questions bothering me.There is a EEPROM (32K) can be stored web pages. But i don't know how to calculate the hash of these pages.
You can see a segment in http://www.sxlist.com/techref/ubicom/lib/io/osi3/tcpip/isx_2_3_5.src below:

    ; *** HTTP Constants ***
; States for parsing HTTP headers
HTTP_PORT_MSB·= 0·; local tcp port number for HTTP server.
    HTTP_PORT_LSB·= 80·;· "
    HTTP_SEG_SIZE·= 1400
    URI1··= $81·; hash of "resource.htm"
    URI2··= $54·; hash of "temperature.htm"
    URI3··= $21·; hash of "postctrl.htm"

What i want it to do is that it can be used as an embedded device. It can register on the residential gateway automatically once it is connected to.But i don't know how I can receive the information which come from SX and display it and how to use SX to send the information. And then i can control the devices connected to SX by UGI. Could you help me and give me some advice?

kjennejohn, the link you gave(www.svtehs.com/cgi-bin/showdesc.pl?product=SX-EN〈=en&page=1) leds to
a error page.what a pity!thank you very much all the same.

    Stephen,i'll email you at once.thanks.
