·· It's probably going to be easier for you to just remember that Vcc and Vdd refer to the positive side of the power supply.· Not necessarily +5V.· Vss is ground.· Sometimes Vee will be used in systems with a negative power supply.· Vin is for Voltage IN...There are many other such designations, but you can easily Google for sites that get into not only what many of these mean, but the basics of electronics.

Vss = ground
Vdd = +5volt regulated power
Vin = unregulated power directly from your batteries
