    Gus,

·· Please refer to our connection information on the following web page:

    http://www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=603-00006

That page has the necessary code and wiring diagram to get you going.· Specifically, you'll want the manual (PDF) and the source code (ZIP).· The connections from the LCD to the Stamp I/O pins will be what you want.· Use the 4.7K resistor on the E line (P0) the other resistors are not necessary on most LCD Displays.

If the driver is Hitachi HD44780-compatible (it probably is) then you can use our projects from StampWorks to get started.

Im trying to use the same LCD as Gus is using from the post at the top of the forum. I have followed all the suggested resources such as stamp works and others, but still have not got this lcd screen working. I just wanted to know if anyone actually got it to work with the basic stamp?

If there is a contrast knob on this LCD, have you tried turning it in both directions to see if an image will appear? Sometimes it's as simple as that!
